Readmission to the quater: the 10-instalment plan

Enter the sum due shown in the readmission statement and the number of instalments chosen: the plan shows each due date up to 2027, with the last useful day and the estimated amount.

Readmission to the rottamazione-quater was created by article 3-bis of Decree-Law 202 of 2024, the Milleproroghe, converted by Law 15 of 2025. It was open to anyone who, by 31 December 2024, had lost the quater through an instalment that was unpaid, short or late, and it only covered debts already listed in the 2023 application. The application had to be filed online by 30 April 2025 and the collection agency sent the statement of sums due by 30 June 2025. Payment is a single sum by 31 July 2025 or up to 10 consecutive equal instalments: the first two on 31 July and 30 November 2025, the rest on 28 February, 31 May, 31 July and 30 November of 2026 and 2027. Interest at 2% a year runs from 1 November 2023, so from the original quater. On €8,000 in ten instalments the estimate is about €847.69 each. Otherwise the quater rules apply, including lapse at the first missed instalment.

Readmission, quater and quinquies

The readmission follows the quater in everything except the number of instalments and the dates: that is why a single unpaid instalment ends it, as the quater lapse page explains. The 30 November 2026 instalment coincides with the quater one and the third quinquies one, and the 30 November page compares them. Talk of a new reopening after the quinquies is covered on the rottamazione-sexies page, which has no law text today. Texts reread on 26 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still apply for readmission to the quater?

No. The application deadline was 30 April 2025 and it has not been reopened. Anyone who did not apply, or who also lapsed from the readmission by 30 September 2025, could use the quinquies, which took in quater and readmission debts no longer up to date on that date.

Why are readmission instalments equal when quater ones are not?

The quater asked for 10% for each of the first two instalments and split the rest into sixteen. The 2024 decree chose ten consecutive equal instalments instead. Interest, however, still runs from November 2023, so readmission instalments include almost two years of interest already built up at the first due date.

If I miss a readmission instalment, can I join the quinquies?

Only if the lapse happened by 30 September 2025 and the application was filed by 30 April 2026. For an instalment missed later, such as November 2026, there is no new settlement today: the debt is due in full again, minus the payments made.
